Terms and conditions
Last updated: 2 October 2026
These terms govern the use of managetransfer.it. By using the service you accept them, so please read them carefully. This English version is provided for convenience; if it differs from the Italian version, the Italian version prevails.
1. Who provides the service
The managetransfer.it service (the "Service") is provided by managetransfer.it, located at Italia, (the "Operator"). For any communication you can write to info@managetransfer.it.
2. What the Service does
The Service lets you upload files and share them with other people through a password-protected link. In particular:
- each transfer can contain files up to the limit of the chosen plan (3.9 GB on the free plan);
- the sender chooses a download password and a management password;
- files stay available for the period chosen by the sender, within the plan limit (up to 90 days), and are then deleted automatically;
- the sender can delete the files before they expire from the management page;
- if requested, the Service emails the recipient a link to download the files.
The Service offers a free plan, usable without an account, and paid subscription plans, described on the Pricing page and in section 4. The Operator may change its features, suspend it or discontinue it at any time, even without notice.
3. Who can use it
The Service is intended for adults, or for minors using it with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Anyone using it on behalf of a company or organisation confirms they are authorised to do so.
4. Accounts and paid plans
To subscribe to a paid plan you need to create an account with an email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out with your account.
- Prices: prices are shown on the Pricing page, in euros and including VAT. Payment is processed by Stripe using the payment methods it accepts.
- Renewal: the subscription is monthly and renews automatically at the end of each month, charging the price in force, until it is canceled.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from the "My account" page (Manage subscription). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: until then you keep using the plan, after which the account returns to the free plan. Partial periods are not refunded, except where required by law.
- Plan changes: you can switch to another plan from the same page. Stripe prorates the amount for the remaining period.
- Failed payments: if a renewal fails, Stripe retries the charge for a few days; if payment still fails, the subscription is canceled and the account returns to the free plan.
- Price changes: any price increase will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance and will apply from the next renewal; you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Right of withdrawal: if you are a consumer, you can withdraw within 14 days of subscribing by writing to info@managetransfer.it, without giving a reason. Since you ask for the service to start immediately when you buy, if you withdraw you will be refunded the price paid minus an amount proportional to the service already provided up to your withdrawal (Articles 50, 52 and 57 of the Italian Consumer Code).
- Invoices and receipts: payment receipts are available on the "Manage subscription" page. If you need an invoice, write to info@managetransfer.it.
- Account deletion: you can delete your account from the "My account" page once your subscription has ended. The Operator may suspend or close accounts used in breach of these terms.
5. What is not allowed
You may not use the Service to upload, share or distribute:
- illegal, defamatory, offensive or threatening content, or content inciting hatred or violence;
- child sexual abuse material or content exploiting minors in any way;
- content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights of third parties (for example films, music or software without permission);
- viruses, malware or any file designed to damage systems or data;
- personal data of other people without the right to do so, in particular health data, criminal records or other special categories of personal data;
- unsolicited advertising (spam) or misleading messages through the email feature.
You also may not attempt to bypass the limits of the Service, access other users' files, or use it in a way that impairs its operation.
6. Sender's responsibility
The person uploading the files is solely responsible for their content and for the choice of recipients. They confirm they hold all rights needed to share the files and, if they enter other people's email addresses, that they are entitled to use them for this purpose. They agree to hold the Operator harmless from any third-party claim arising from use of the Service in breach of these terms or of the law.
Passwords are chosen by the user, who is responsible for choosing strong ones, keeping them safe and sharing them only with the right people. We recommend sending the download password through a different channel from the one used for the link.
7. Reported content and removal
The Operator does not check uploaded files in advance. If you believe a file breaks the law or infringes your rights, write to info@managetransfer.it with the transfer link and the reason for your report. The Operator may remove at any time, even without notice, any files it considers contrary to these terms or to the law, and cooperate with the competent authorities when required.
8. No storage guarantee
The Service is meant for transferring files, not for storing them: it is not an archive or a backup service. Always keep a copy of your files. The Operator works to keep the Service running and secure, but does not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free, or that files will not be lost or damaged, for example because of technical faults, maintenance or causes beyond its control.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service, from the loss of files, from the content of files uploaded by users, or from unauthorised access caused by weak passwords or passwords shared with others. This does not affect cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights granted to consumers by law.
10. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
The Operator may update these terms. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last update. Transfers already made remain governed by the terms in force at the time they were sent.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, the court of the consumer's place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction. In all other cases, the court of the place where the Operator is based has exclusive jurisdiction.
